A quick day trip up to Nyack NY to pick up my work from the Edward Hopper House. The Small Matters of Great Importance: En Route exhibition was up for almost 3 months, but I never made it up there to visit until now. Although, I admit, that was sort of my plan all along. I dropped off my work one Monday morning and got a quick peak of the Village of Nyack and knew I would have to come back and explore a bit more.
I got there just a few hours before the show came down.
But, I was really most excited to be able to take this photo. It was a foggy and rainy drive up the cost from Baltimore, but so worth it. I've been working in this muted gray color palette for a few weeks now and on my drives to and from Massachusetts in the past couple months, I've been watching these construction cranes sitting in the water. I love them! They are even more enjoyable when not seen from sitting in traffic on the Tappan Zee.
After some exploring, coffee drinking, and postcard sending, we were on the road again.
