Today, I was planning to post from the studio. I was going to live post about the prints I've been working on for my thesis and for Art Market. I was then going to write all about Art Market, about how awesome it is and how it is only 5 days away! Art Market is MICA's annual holiday sale, where students, faculty, staff, and alumni sell their handmade work. It's a great beginning to the holiday gift giving season. This year Art Market will start this Wednesday and run till Saturday.
I will be at Art Market for my second year this season. You can see my feature in the press release too.
I was planning to sell hand bound books, prints, and postcards. But, today while I was in the studio binding the rest of my books, someone broke into my car. They stole the backpack that I had filled with all my prints and postcards. I was going to be printing them after I finished with my books this afternoon, but I never got to do this. 22 of my prints in that bag, which were ready for the back of them to be screen printed, transforming them from print to postcard, were already signed and numbered. But I also had prints that I had just started the other day (the print of the common).
